What should I order? [UPDATE] None of what y’all suggested was on the menu so I got a plain ol’ burger. Not bad. I’d put it above McD’s and Bubger Kirg but not Wendy’s and nowhere near Five Guys . Fries were pretty dope though.

I grew up with Hardees in a foreign country where it was trying to establish itself in the country , and there aren’t any near me here in SoCal that I know of . Seeing your post made me suddenly crave Hardees ... but I have no idea what I’m craving since it was so long ago.

I’ve never had their breakfast - I generally don’t like most fast food breakfast, but I do like Starbucks breakfast sandwiches.

Did my time in there in h i s chrool (Wilkesboro, NC). We only had 2 Hardee’s and a Pizza Hut back in the ‘70s. McD tried to come in but their new building burnt down... twice. Still the best fast food in my current town (St Ma rys GA) which has the usual mess of’em .

I actually kind of like subway. There aren’t really any good sub shops around here out west like there were back east. Plus subway is literally everywhere and it’s certainly more fulfilling than a fast food burger. Assuming I just get every vegetable on the sub, I can enjoy the paltry amount of meat they add and the decent bread. In general it's always "alright" which is exactly what I expect from fast food.

Five guys is an unfair comparison. Mostly because the burger with fries is like more than $10. That is cheap sit down restaurant money at that point and I can certainly get a better burger there.

I am at Subway right now. True story. But I’m not eating, my boys are. They went on a school trip to Six Flags, I gave them money for food, and all they got was soda and candy.

I always just want a burger or chicken sandwich when I am wanting fast food breakfast. I despise that I can only get egg sandwiches and sweet stuff. This especially bothers me at airports where time is just a construct anyways and meal times are truly irrelevant. Thankfully last airport I ate during breakfast time at had burritos that I could get with the full meat, rice, and beans instead of a mushy egg thing.

Hands down best fast food breakfast though was a five guys I went to that served "breakfast". Best part was they had their full menu with burgers and fries but you could also get bacon and egg on said burgers. I love me some bacon egg double cheese burgers. Just add some avocado and thousand Island and damn that's a gooooood burger!!
